Wikipedia defines indie music as – “music produced independently from commercial record labels or their subsidiaries, a process that may include an autonomous, do-it-yourself approach to recording and publishing.” Some people take that to heart. But some folks take it to work.
I’ve never had more access to candid recordings and reviews from an indie band before. It’s taken me quite a bit to sift through the live material alone, and it ranges from blues/rock to an acoustic folk vibe. There is a lot going on here even if there’s no lyrics. It’s easy to find, if you search their SoundCloud.
They also have a BandCamp! There you will find a gem of a song. It’s timeless and performed well. There’s experience in the words and emotion in the chords. A lot of effort went into the production of this one too. I love being sung to, and I really feel it here.
Members are Don Miller guitar vocals, Bob Melendez bass, Steve Demyan keys vocals, Mike Delp drums. They were kind enough to send me some pictures!
One thing you’ll wish while researching this band; I wish I could go to and play at live shows. This band is a workhorse. Their calendars online were full. Their live show reviews are enthralling. They sound like what we are missing in 2020. That is to say, they sound like a night out with friends.
“Their live show reviews are enthralling.“
